As a Software Engineer at VALIS, you will build and scale the company’s newest product line, taking it from a blank page to the plant floor. You will spend time with operators and plant managers, design the schema and application, and deliver a product that scrap processors rely on to run their plant. Working directly with the CTO, product team and end users, you will make the architecture and design decisions, prioritise what gets built when, and see your work used every shift, every day. VALIS is hiring across mid-senior levels, from a few years of experience to senior engineers.
The role involves owning the product end to end: data model, API, UI, UX, deployment and iteration, and designing a multi-tenant domain model covering materials, loads, runs, equipment and quality that holds up as each customer’s process differs. The successful candidate will be a strong software engineer who can take a product from concept to production, work closely with operators and plant managers to understand real workflows, and build reliable, well-designed systems for an industry that depends on them every day. This is a full-time remote role in the United States. The base salary is $125,000 to $155,000, depending on experience level.
