Job Description

Hi Rasmus is building the clinical technology platform that helps autism care teams spend less time fighting software and more time focused on the child in front of them. More than 1,000 organisations across all 50 U.S. states and around the world use Hi Rasmus today, and as the company enters its next stage of growth, its ambition is bigger than building great technology: to positively impact 1 million children and families navigating autism. Hi Rasmus is building a dedicated Research & Clinical Impact function to own the evidence agenda, how it studies, measures and communicates the impact of its platform, and is hiring a Biostatistician as the quantitative foundation of that team.

The Biostatistician will own the statistical methods and analysis behind how Hi Rasmus measures clinical impact across access, learner outcomes and social validity, working with real-world clinical data from care organisations of every size and model. This is a senior, hands-on, function-building role and the first hire on the team, doing the analysis yourself while setting the technical standards others will build on, partnering closely with the Head of Research & Clinical Impact, Data & Engineering, and Clinical Product Strategy. First-year focus centres on three outcomes: measuring clinical impact rigorously, building an evidence base people can trust, and building a clinical measurement strategy for product and value-based care, including whether short-term indicators of progress are credible signals of longer-term outcomes. The work includes building the statistical methodology, benchmarks and interpretation methods behind the clinical-impact framework, designing and executing analyses of large-scale real-world clinical data using methods suited to observational data, writing statistical analysis plans and analytic sections of protocols, and co-authoring publications, white papers and the first annual Hi Rasmus Clinical Impact Report, reporting what the evidence supports, including mixed or inconclusive findings.

Applicants should hold a Master’s or doctoral degree in biostatistics, statistics, epidemiology, public health, quantitative psychology or a related field, with 5+ years of experience applying statistical methods to real-world or observational data, ideally in healthcare, behavioral health, education or health services research. The role calls for a strong grounding in regression, multilevel and mixed-effects modelling, longitudinal analysis, risk adjustment and causal-inference, prediction or stratification methods for observational data, including thoughtful handling of missing data, experience with psychometric and survey measurement methods, proficiency in R or Python and SQL, version control such as Git, and a commitment to reproducible analytic workflows, plus experience writing statistical analysis plans, working within research ethics requirements such as IRB review, and contributing to peer-reviewed publications. This is a full-time, fully remote role in the United States. The compensation is $112,000 to $132,000 annually.
