Job Description

V HAWK TRUCKING is hiring a long haul truck driver for permanent, full-time work based in Langley, British Columbia. The role is on site, starts as soon as possible, and offers 39.00 dollars per hour for 50 hours per week, with six vacancies available.

The driver will operate straight or articulated trucks, including tractor-trailers, to transport goods over long-haul, national and provincial routes, plan or adjust routes using GPS and other navigation equipment, load and unload goods, and complete pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspections. The work also involves recording cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption, overseeing vehicle condition, and performing brake adjustments. Applicants need a secondary school graduation certificate, a Class 1 or A driver’s licence with an Air Brakes Endorsement, and knowledge of bills of lading, driver logbooks and inspection reports. Experience is an asset, and the employer covers relocation costs for candidates who are willing to relocate.
