Job Description

King Trucking Ltd is hiring a long haul truck driver for permanent, full-time work based in Surrey, British Columbia. The role is on site, starts as soon as possible, and offers 38.40 dollars per hour for 30 to 40 hours per week, with one vacancy available. Shifts may cover early morning, morning, day, evening, night and weekends, with on-call and flexible hours.

The driver will operate straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions using computer equipment, global positioning systems and other navigation equipment, load and unload goods, and oversee the condition of the vehicle, including tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment. The role also involves pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspections, receiving and relaying information to central dispatch, and recording cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption. Applicants need English, a secondary (high) school graduation certificate, and 7 months to less than 1 year of experience.
