Job Description
Brave Health is driven by a deep commitment to transform lives by expanding access to compassionate, high-quality mental health care. By harnessing the power of technology, the organisation breaks down barriers and brings mental health treatment directly to those who need it most, wherever they are. As a community health-centred organisation, Brave Health is dedicated to ensuring that no one is left behind. Nearly 1 in 4 people in the U.S. receive healthcare through Medicaid, yet two-thirds of providers do not accept it, and Brave Health is stepping up to close this gap by making mental health care accessible, affordable and life-changing for all. Brave Health is hiring full-time Licensed Therapists to provide outpatient services through its telehealth programme.
The Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) will work 100% remotely from home, providing outpatient mental health services to patients across the lifespan. Brave Health partners with commercial health plans and is a licensed Medicaid and Medicare provider. The role is a W2, full-time position working Monday to Friday, with no weekends, and shift options of 9am-6pm, 10am-7pm or 11am-8pm EDT. Responsibilities include comprehensive assessments, treatment planning and working in partnership with clients to achieve their goals, using telehealth software, video communication and internal communication tools throughout the day. Liability insurance is covered and there is an annual stipend for growth and education opportunities, with additional compensation offered to bilingual candidates, in Spanish.
Applicants must hold a Master’s level degree and licensure, with unrestricted authorisation to work in the United States that does not require employer sponsorship now or in the future. The role requires a work-from-home space with privacy for patient safety and HIPAA purposes, fluency in English, with Spanish preferred and proficiency in other languages a plus, and knowledge of mental health and/or substance abuse diagnosis. Compensation is $74-81k PLUS earning potential up to 100k, with a total earning opportunity totalling 100k annually for top earners, and compensation for clinical roles at Brave is determined by a clinician’s state of residence, reflecting local market conditions.
