Job Description

Commercial Bank of Dubai is hiring a Legal Counsel in Dubai to advise business stakeholders including wholesale banking, debt capital markets, treasury, compliance, IT and audit, while protecting the bank’s interests and supporting its strategic objectives. The counsel drafts, reviews and negotiates transactional and non-transactional contracts, corporate documents, shareholder and joint-venture agreements, and acts as lead lawyer for debt financing, project finance, corporate and Islamic finance and aviation finance matters. Work also covers syndication and bilateral loan documentation, treasury confirmations and trading agreements, netting and collateral advice, derivatives and repo support, IBOR transition documentation, templates and managing external counsel. Requirements include a law degree or LLM, UK or US Bar admission and 8+ years of legal experience, preferably in banking.
