Job Description
Bay Medical Group is appointing an HR Officer to join its generalist HR team, supporting general practice services across five sites in the Morecambe area. The post holder will provide high-quality, day-to-day HR support to managers and employees, acting as a first point of contact for HR queries and giving advice and guidance on employment matters. Duties include recruitment and onboarding, maintaining HR records and the digital HR system, workforce reporting and data submissions, training coordination and internal education programmes, and employee relations support, alongside payroll liaison with the Finance team and administrative support for staff-related meetings. The role calls for an organised, proactive and detail-oriented administrator with strong communication and organisational skills, proficient keyboard skills, confidence on the telephone, and experience of Microsoft Office 365, electronic records and databases, and HR or workforce information systems. Candidates should understand employment practices such as disciplinary, grievance, absence management and recruitment processes, and be able to work accurately under pressure, without close supervision, and as part of a team. Essential qualifications are GCSE English and Maths (grade C/4) or equivalent and CIPD Level 3 or equivalent qualification or experience (or working towards it); a standard DBS check is required and the post holder must be able to work across practice sites. Job type: Fixed term, 6 months, 1 January 2027 to 30 June 2027, Part-time, 30 hours per week. Location: Bay Medical Group, Westgate Medical Practice, Braddon Close, Morecambe, Lancashire, LA4 4UZ, United Kingdom.
