Job Description

Wood is recruiting a Logistics Coordinator for its engineering team in Abu Dhabi, with the position based full time at the Abu Dhabi office. The coordinator plans and coordinates the transportation of goods so they arrive at their designated location in a timely and cost-effective manner, analysing routes, methods and carriers to find the most efficient and economical options. Responsibilities include evaluating transportation provider performance, implementing tracking and other technology solutions, maintaining relationships with carriers, vendors and suppliers, monitoring inventory levels, conducting cost-benefit analyses, and keeping logistics documentation and records. Candidates need an associate degree in supply chain management or a similar discipline, or equivalent experience, plus logistics experience in oil and gas, shipping or a related industry and knowledge of ERP logistics systems.
