Job Description

The British International School Riyadh (BISR) is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Head of Foundation Stage for its DQ Campus, who will also hold teaching responsibilities, to start on 15 August 2027. BISR has provided high-quality education to the expatriate community since 1979 and is a well-regarded, not-for-profit, co-educational institution accredited by the Council of International Schools and as a British School Overseas, with seven campuses across the Kingdom.

The successful candidate will have deep knowledge of early childhood development, play-based learning, the EYFS framework and assessment, and proven ability to line manage, mentor and deploy Foundation Stage teachers and teaching assistants. The role includes evaluating EYFS Early Learning Goals, moderating assessments and using progress data to inform next steps, leading child wellbeing and positive behaviour strategies, ensuring smooth transitions into Foundation Stage, and building compassionate relationships with parents. Applicants must hold a UK or UK-recognised teaching qualification.

The salary is on the Qualified Teacher Scale (M1-M6) plus an annual allowance and a position of responsibility allowance (POR).
