A Russian drone strike on the main railway station in the Ukrainian city of Dnipro killed 14 people and wounded 14 others on Thursday morning, 29 October 2026, regional officials said.
State railway operator Ukrzaliznytsia said a jet-powered drone hit a platform where a commuter train bound for Zaporizhzhia was waiting to depart while passengers were boarding. Regional governor Oleksandr Hanzha said six of the wounded were in a serious condition with multiple shrapnel wounds, including an 11-year-old boy, and that a 40-year-old man had both legs amputated.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky described the attack as “horrific” and said sanctions against Russia must not be eased while the war continues. French President Emmanuel Macron also condemned the strike.
Russia denies deliberately targeting civilians.
