Job Description

Maastricht University is appointing an Assistant Professor in Methodology and Statistics in the Faculty of Psychology and Neuroscience, Maastricht. The role combines research, teaching and consultancy, supporting high-quality research and education through methodological innovation, statistical expertise and interdisciplinary collaboration. Duties include teaching and coordinating statistics and methodology courses in the Bachelor’s programme in Psychology, developing educational activities and teaching materials, conducting independent and collaborative research in methodology and statistics, and providing methodological and statistical support to students, researchers and staff. Applicants hold a PhD in Statistics, Psychometrics, Biometrics, Econometrics or a related field, with experience teaching statistics or methodology, strong quantitative and programming skills, particularly in R, and effective communication in English, with willingness to learn Dutch. A 12-month contract (1,0 fte) with the prospect of a permanent contract based on mutual satisfaction. Gross monthly salary between €4925,00 and €6682,00 (based on full-time employment of 38 hours per week), plus 8% holiday allowance and an 8.3% year-end bonus.
