Job Description

San Bernardino County is recruiting Accountant/Auditors for professional accounting and auditing duties across multiple county departments, on a continuous basis; the resulting eligible list may also fill future vacancies throughout the county as they occur. The work covers factual and analytical accounting and auditing duties in a large California county government, with an auditing pay differential of 2.0% above the base rate (ATC and HS only) and a $750 annual stipend for employees who hold and maintain a valid CPA licence.

Minimum requirements are a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration or economics, or a bachelor’s degree in another field including 30 semester units of accounting coursework, plus one year of full-time equivalent professional-level auditing or accounting experience; a valid California Class C driver licence is required. Please note honestly: the County states it is not able to consider candidates who will require visa sponsorship at the time of application. The salary range is $63,585.60 to $89,564.80 per year.
