Job Description

Radford High in Honolulu is recruiting a full-time, 10-month special education mathematics teacher for grades 9-12 (Job Number 2026-00519, 100% position). The role delivers special-education mathematics teaching, plans and facilitates Individualized Education Plan (IEP) meetings, and exercises independent professional judgement while keeping an effective pace under pressure to meet deadlines.

The salary range is $53,649.00 to $75,494.00 per year, plus a $10,000 special-education differential for teachers holding a Hawaii teaching licence (pro-rated) and a $5,000 National Board Certification differential (pro-rated). Applicants need a bachelor’s degree as a minimum, and upon hire must hold a valid Hawaii teaching licence or an Emergency Hire Permit; teachers hired without completing a Teacher’s Education Program have up to three years to obtain a valid Hawaii licence while enrolled in a programme. A valid Special Education licence from the Hawaii Teacher Standards Board is preferred, and special-education classroom experience in a K-12 setting is desired.
