With the support of the federal and provincial governments, and generous donors, the IRC is currently implementing multiple projects across the country.
Job Overview/Summary:
The Supply Chain Intern will assist the Supply Chain team in carrying out procurement, logistics, and administrative tasks. Key responsibilities include supporting petty cash purchases, preparing and scanning procurement documents, attaching relevant tax documentation, and coordinating with vendors to collect necessary paperwork. The intern will also liaise with the Finance Department to help ensure timely vendor payments and assist program teams in arranging and delivering supplies for trainings and other activities. Additional duties include supporting the processing of utility bills, assisting with vehicle fueling records, helping prepare monthly reports, and maintaining proper documentation. The intern will also contribute to coordinating staff travel logistics, assisting with asset and inventory management, and supporting general warehousing and administrative functions. This role offers practical, hands-on exposure to supply chain operations in a humanitarian context.
Major Responsibilities:
• Carry local/petty purchases and process Item requirements through Integra.
• Generate documents related to procurement for financial clearance and scan the same for onward approval and submission to finance department.
• Tax calculations and attach online income/sales tax documents with each vendor’s payment before submission to Finance.
• Collect documents from vendors including invoice, quotation VIF and any other documents required for due diligence.
• Follow up with Finance on payments of vendors to ensure that all payments are processed/released timely.
• Routine communication, coordination, and planning with the relevant requesting staff / programs
regarding the order and delivery of supplies.
• Assist program colleagues in arranging training supplies like stationery, printing material and banners etc.

• Responsible for timely processing of office utilities including gas, electricity, and communication bills.
• Supervise the fueling at fuel station including IRC regular and rental vehicles.
• Prepare monthly Supply chain reports on a monthly basis or when required.
• Maintain all sorts of departmental documentation in hard and soft form and archive in the dedicated folders.
• Coordination with drivers and staff for their field and outstations visits and making timely logistics
arrangements.
• Support supervisor in managing Asset and inventory and general warehousing with complete
supporting documentation.
• Support supervisor and officer general administration.
