Job Description
General Motors (GM Canada) is hiring a Software Quality Assurance Specialist in Markham, ON.

Key duties and requirements:
– Develops and defines testing strategies, both manual and automated, and implements test plans and setups to meet functional, safety and compliance requirements.
– Conducts HIL/SIL or vehicle-level software verification and participates in the software change management process under GM’s agile framework.
– Identifies and resolves software issues and contributes to a knowledge base for common software errors and corner cases.
– Requires a bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics, Software, Electrical or Computer Engineering (or a related field), at least 2 years of embedded software development and testing experience, proficiency reading and debugging C/C++, Python skills, and DevOps CI/CD knowledge (e.g. Jenkins).
