About the Role:
We are looking for a qualified and detail-oriented Operations Accountant to support the financial control and analysis of our dry bulk vessel operations. This position plays a key role in cost tracking, voyage profitability, and claims management.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain accurate voyage profit & loss (P&L) statements for each vessel.
• Track all voyage-related costs including port expenses, bunkers, and agency fees.
• Process and review invoices, port disbursement accounts, and supporting documents.
• Calculate demurrage and despatch claims and coordinate with chartering and operations.
• Work closely with the operations team to reconcile voyage estimates vs actuals.
• Assist in monthly financial reporting, budgeting, and internal controls.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
• 3–5 years of accounting or financial experience in a maritime or logistics environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Maritime Business.
• Understanding of voyage accounting, shipping documentation, and charter party terms.
• Proficient in MS Excel; knowledge of IMOS, Veson, or other ERP systems is a plus.
• Highly analytical, detail-focused, and capable of meeting tight reporting deadlines.
• Fluent in English; excellent communication and coordination skills.
• Based in or willing to relocate to Dubai.
