Job Description

Erasmus University Rotterdam is appointing a Postdoctoral researcher based at Campus Woudestein in the Erasmus School of Philosophy (ESPhil), Rotterdam. The postdoc joins a European project on the social and ethical aspects of digital twins, working in an ELSA social laboratory setting to study how digital twins should be redesigned responsibly and inclusively. The role includes publishing original philosophical and interdisciplinary work, building international networks, co-organising conferences and workshops, and some teaching and thesis supervision, alongside emphasis on collaborative, inclusive team working. 0.8 fte; contract offered for 1 year, convertible to an employment contract for three years in total if suitability is proven and circumstances remain the same; start date 1 February 2027. Salary € 4.925 to a maximum of € 6.682 gross per month, Scale 11, on a full-time basis (38 hours), in accordance with CAO-NU. Closing Monday 23 November 2026; first interviews 30 November 2026.
