Job Description

Al Khor International School (AKIS) is a 4 to 18, co-educational and non-selective international school, owned by QatarEnergy LNG (QE-LNG), one of the largest natural gas-producing companies in the world. AKIS caters for the children of the company’s employees and is one of the largest international schools in the Middle East, with approximately 4,000 students across its British and CBSE curriculum schools, exceptional facilities, and a location in the Al Khor Community.

The school is seeking a caring and dedicated learning assistant to support teaching and learning in the CBSE Curriculum. The successful candidate will support students’ learning on an individual basis, in small groups or with whole class activities, supervise students and promote positive behaviour, carry out administrative tasks and support high-quality learning, and assist with school events and activities. The school looks for a commitment to student well-being and learning, a diploma or degree, experience of working with children or in a school (preferred), good communication and people skills, and cultural awareness and understanding. Please note that, due to government regulations, the school can only consider applicants who are below 50 years of age, and that a fully attested educational certificate is required as part of the recruitment process.

The compensation package includes a competitive tax-free salary, high-quality professional learning and development, and end of service benefits. This is a family sponsored role. The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

Applications close on 14 November 2026.
