Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic ESL Teacher to provide English language instruction and essential life skills training to adult learners as part of a workplace education initiative. The role focuses on improving English proficiency, digital and financial literacy, and workplace communication for employees in a professional learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging ESL lessons using a structured curriculum designed for adult learners.
  • Teach English communication skills, grammar, vocabulary, and cultural understanding.
  • Integrate instruction on financial literacy, digital literacy, and workplace readiness.
  • Support a diverse classroom of 10–15 adult learners with varying English proficiency levels.
  • Track attendance, progress, and performance of students accurately.
  • Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and curriculum planning sessions.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint, Teams, Excel, Word) for lesson planning, communication, and reporting.
  • Adapt instructional methods and materials to meet diverse learning needs and goals.

Qualifications:

  • Strong proficiency in English with the ability to teach grammar and communication effectively.
  • Prior experience teaching adults in ESL, workplace education, or adult learning programs.
  • Excellent classroom management and organizational skills.
  • Basic to intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Teams, Excel, Word).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a passion for helping diverse learners succeed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • ESL or TESOL certification.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, English, Linguistics, or a related field.
  • Experience teaching in multicultural or workplace-based settings.
  • Spanish language proficiency (a plus but not required).
