Job Description

We are representing a well-established British International School in Doha, Qatar, seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of Secondary to join their leadership team in January 2026 (or sooner) for the 2025–2026 academic year.
The school delivers the British Curriculum to a diverse community of local and international students, and is looking for an outstanding leader who can inspire excellence, drive school improvement, and foster a culture of collaboration and innovation across the Secondary phase.
The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
• Leading and managing all aspects of the Secondary School (Key Stages 3–5).
• Providing strategic and operational leadership to ensure high standards of teaching, learning, and student achievement.
• Supporting and developing staff, fostering a positive and inclusive school culture.
• Working closely with the senior leadership team to shape the school’s vision and strategic goals.
• Building strong relationships with students, staff, and parents, ensuring an exceptional educational experience for all.

Requirements:

Candidate Requirements
• A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, B.Ed., or equivalent).
• A degree in Education or a related subject; a Master’s in Educational Leadership is highly desirable, but not essential.
• Proven leadership experience at Head of Department, Deputy Head, or Head of Secondary level within a British curriculum school.
• Strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
• A passion for high-quality education and a commitment to continuous improvement.
• Adaptability and cultural sensitivity, with the ability to thrive in an international environment.

Salary:
QAR 20,000 to 25,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
Additional benefits: Annual flights, healthcare and end of service bonus.
