Serbia’s Republic Electoral Commission (RIK) adopted its overall report on 5 November 2026, confirming the final results of the parliamentary election held on 25 October, with repeat voting at 53 polling stations on 1 November.
The “Student List – Students Win” won 140 of the 250 seats with 2,354,417 votes. The “Aleksandar Vučić – United Serbia” list of the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) won 103 seats with 1,731,323 votes. With 126 seats needed for a majority, the Student List can govern alone.
The remaining seven seats went to minority lists: the Alliance of Vojvodina Hungarians won two seats and the Albanian Coalition won two, while one seat each went to Rasim Ljajić – Human, Usame Zukorlić (SPP) – Movement for Unification, and SDA Sandžak – Guardians of Sandžak.
Turnout was 4,444,310 voters out of 6,451,292 registered, with 4,385,065 valid ballots.
The first session of the new National Assembly must be held within 30 days of the proclamation of the final results, by 5 December 2026. A government must then be elected within 90 days of the Assembly being constituted, or the Assembly is dissolved.
The result ends 14 years of SNS parliamentary dominance, and Vučić conceded defeat on election night. The student movement grew out of protests that began after the November 2024 Novi Sad railway station canopy collapse, which killed 16 people.
